Tata Prima E.28K

The Tata Prima E.28K is a 28-tonne all-electric mining tipper engineered for zero-emission operation in shallow mining, mineral movement, bulk cargo and port applications. It pairs a 453 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an HV 3000/6 Phase traction motor delivering 145 kW of power and 2,950 Nm of peak torque.

Battery, Range and Charging

A 453 kWh lithium-ion battery pack delivers a claimed range of up to 220 km on a full charge, sized for fixed-route mining and port duty cycles with multiple trips within an operational cluster. DC fast charging via a dual CCS2 port replenishes the pack to an optimum level in about 1.5 hours, supporting multi-shift operation.

Performance and Capability

The 6x4 rear-wheel-drive central drive layout produces 2,950 Nm of peak torque with 32% gradeability and a gross vehicle weight of 28,000 kg. S-Cam air brakes with noise-free liners are backed by EBS, ATC and hill start assist, with parabolic leaf spring front suspension and a 37T bogie rear suspension.

Cabin and Features

The premium Prima day cabin includes a pneumatically suspended driver seat, ELR seat belts, power windows, central locking, remote vehicle locking, cruise control, 2-mode drive, energy regeneration and a driver safety monitoring suite with drowsiness, distraction and seatbelt alerts. A 6-year vehicle and battery warranty covers the truck.
