Propel 470 MEV

The Propel 470 MEV is a 6x4 electric dump truck purpose-built for off-road mining and heavy quarry duty, part of Propel Industries' first range of smart electric hauling vehicles alongside the 470 HEV. It is classed as heavy earth-moving machinery (HEMM) and is not intended for on-road plying.

Price & Variants

The 470 MEV is offered as a single 4300/18 Cum Rock tipper configuration (18 cu.m rock body on a 4,300 mm wheelbase). As a commercial vehicle it is sold on quotation through Propel's dealer network, with no fixed ex-showroom city pricing published.

Battery & Range

Powered by a lithium-ion pack offered in 171 kWh and 256 kWh options, the 470 MEV claims a range of up to 350 km on a full charge. Fast charging from 0-100% takes about 70 minutes on the GB/T / CCS2 charger.

Performance

A heavy-duty PMSM motor produces 350 kW and 2000 Nm of torque, delivered through a 7-speed clutchless EMT gearbox with a 40 km/h top speed. Gradeability exceeds 30%, supported by regenerative braking, hill-start assist and inter-wheel/inter-axle differential locks.

Payload & Dimensions

Gross vehicle weight is 45,000 kg against a kerb weight of 16,400 kg, giving a rated payload of 28,600 kg. The chassis runs 4,300 mm wheelbase, 265 mm ground clearance and 12x20 mining tyres across the 6x4 axle layout.

Cabin & Comfort

The fully suspended, tiltable sleeper cabin features a 16-way air-suspended driver seat with lumbar support, HVAC climate control, central door locking and power windows, tuned for long mining shifts.
