Range and charging

The IeV8 is offered with a choice of 70 kWh and 140 kWh lithium battery packs, both claimed to deliver up to 250 km of driving range on a full charge. Fast charging is supported to keep the truck on duty across a shift, and the SWITCH iON telematics system monitors battery health and vehicle status in real time. Performance and payload

A permanent magnet synchronous motor drives the rear axle through an automatic single-speed, clutch-free gearbox, with a top speed of 80 km/h. Within its 7,200 kg gross vehicle weight, the IeV8 carries a payload of up to 4 tonnes and accepts 14- and 17-foot containers, with up to 830 cubic feet of cargo space. It rides on leaf-spring front and semi-elliptical leaf-spring rear suspension in a 4x2 axle layout, with seating for a driver plus two passengers.
