Mercury Mushak

The Mercury Mushak is a battery-electric mini truck from Mercury EV Tech, classified as an L5N high-speed goods carrier. Built on a chassis-with-cabin layout with a deck body, it is aimed at intra-city distribution, grocery and FMCG logistics, and last-mile delivery runs where a light, manoeuvrable four-wheeler earns more than a three-wheeler. Prices are undisclosed and quoted on request by dealers.

Range and charging

A 28.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the Mushak, delivering a claimed range of 200 km on a full charge. Fast charging takes about 1.5 hours to reach 80% state of charge, while a regular charge takes 6-7 hours for a 20 to 100% fill, both figures well suited to overnight depot charging and a mid-shift top-up.

Performance and payload

An AC induction motor produces 15 kW of power and 150 Nm of torque, enough for a 70 km/h top speed and 7% gradeability. The Mushak carries a 1,000 kg payload within a 2,000 kg gross vehicle weight and a 1,030 kg kerb weight. It measures 3,930 mm long, 1,500 mm wide and 1,820 mm high on a 2,100 mm wheelbase with 160 mm of ground clearance, a 2,130 mm loading deck and 90/90-12 tubeless tyres. Hydraulic drum brakes, telescopic front suspension and a coiled-spring rear end complete the package, with D+1 seating, a digital driver display and an in-built navigation system.
