Hexall Mammoth-M

The Hexall Mammoth-M is a 900 kg payload electric mini truck (L5N high-speed goods carrier) from Hexall Motors, built on a chassis-with-cabin layout with a box body and a 1,950 mm wheelbase. Its ex-showroom price has not been announced yet - TrucksDekho lists it as coming soon - so it competes in the electric SCV segment against the Tata Ace EV and Mahindra Jeeto on price-to-payload value rather than sticker price. It is aimed at last-mile parcel, FMCG and small-shop delivery runs where a full-size LCV is overkill.

Range and charging

The Mammoth-M carries a 7.37 kWh lithium-ion battery and claims 120 km of range on a full charge, with a 6-8 hour full charging time. That makes it a single-shift vehicle for intra-city routes with overnight depot charging; there is no published fast-charge figure, so operators running double shifts should plan around the 6-8 hour recharge window.

Performance and payload

An electric motor drives a claimed 60 km/h top speed, and the truck is rated for 900 kg of payload within a 1,900 kg gross vehicle weight. It rides on four wheels with a 4x2 axle configuration, leaf-spring suspension front and rear, vacuum-assisted brakes and ABS, and a day cabin with D+2 seating. Ground clearance is 138 mm, overall width 1,590 mm and overall height 2,300 mm.

The Mammoth-M suits small fleet owners moving under a tonne of goods on predictable city loops - grocery, courier and e-commerce feeder runs - where 120 km and overnight charging are enough. Operators needing faster turnaround or longer highway legs should wait for the announced price and any fast-charge option before committing, and compare the on-road economics against the Tata Ace EV.
