The Vision S steps up to a 60 kWh pack, a claimed 500 km range, and an expected starting price around ₹16 lakh — again a single STD variant in EVSocho's current listing.
The ₹1 lakh gap buys you 10 kWh of battery and roughly 50 km more claimed range. That is a meaningful difference if your daily driving is long or you plan weekend trips without a charger stop. If your commute stays under 60 km a day, the Vision X's 450 km claim is already far beyond what a typical week needs, and the ₹15 lakh starting point keeps it the cheaper entry into Mahindra's EV SUV range.
Neither model has confirmed motor output, charging times, boot space or a full trim line-up yet. Mahindra has not published DC fast-charging figures for either, so do not assume the range comes with quick top-ups until the official spec sheet lands.
The Vision SXT is the odd one out
The Vision SXT is a five-seat electric pickup expected from around ₹20 lakh, with a 60 kWh battery and a claimed 450 km range. It shares the S's battery size but trades the SUV's 500 km claim for a truck bed, and real-world range with a load on board will sit well below that figure. Mahindra has not confirmed towing capacity, payload numbers or load-bed dimensions, which are the specs that actually decide whether an electric pickup is worth it.
At ₹20 lakh, the SXT is the most expensive of the three and the most specialised. It is not competing with the SUVs; it is competing with the idea of an electric workhorse, priced against diesel pickups that currently own that role in India. If you do not need the bed, the Vision S gets you a bigger claimed range for ₹4 lakh less.
All three Vision models are still upcoming with no confirmed launch date. Claimed range is 450 km on the Vision X, 500 km on the Vision S and 450 km on the Vision SXT, but motor output, charging times and final pricing are all unannounced.
