The Kia EV6 is the Korean carmaker’s flagship electric crossover in India, sold as a single fully-loaded GT-Line AWD trim. It rides on the dedicated E-GMP skateboard platform with 800V architecture, and received its first major facelift in March 2025 with a larger 84 kWh battery pack.
Price & Variants
Priced at Rs 65.97 lakh (ex-showroom) in a single GT-Line AWD variant, the EV6 is a CBU import positioned above rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BMW iX1 LWB and BYD Sealion 7.
Battery & Range
An 84 kWh lithium-ion pack returns an ARAI/MIDC-certified claimed range of 663 km. In real-world testing, city efficiency works out to roughly 430-440 km and highway efficiency near 560 km on a charge.
Performance
Dual permanent-magnet synchronous motors deliver 321 bhp (325 PS) and 605 Nm, with a claimed 0-100 kmph time of 5.3 seconds. Drive modes include Normal, Eco and Sport, with four levels of regenerative braking and paddle shifters.
Charging
The 800V system supports ultra-fast DC charging at up to 350 kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. A 50 kW DC charger takes about 73 minutes for the same range, while an 11 kW AC wallbox needs around 6 hours for a full charge.
Dimensions & Practicality
The EV6 measures 4695 mm in length, 1890 mm in width and 1570 mm in height on a 2900 mm wheelbase, with a 520-litre boot plus a small front trunk. Ground clearance is 178 mm, and it seats five with 8 airbags, Level-2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera as standard.
