The Tata Ace Pro EV is an electric last-mile mini truck built on the Ace Pro modular architecture, offering a 750 kg payload and a certified range of 155 km. Priced at Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom) with pricing consistent across India, it is positioned for courier, FMCG, e-commerce and milk or cold-drink distribution runs.
Range and charging
A 14.4 kWh LFP battery pack delivers a certified (ARAI) range of 155 km, with an estimated 100-120 km in real-world running. There is no DC fast charging; a slow charge from 5 to 100 percent takes under 6 hours (about 360 minutes), which suits overnight depot charging rather than mid-route top-ups. The battery carries an 8-year / 175000 km warranty, on top of a 3-year vehicle warranty.
Performance and payload
A PMSM motor produces 29 kW (at 3500 rpm) and 104 Nm (from 0-2500 rpm), giving a top speed of 50 kmph and a 21% maximum gradeability. Braking is front disc and rear drum, with 3-level regenerative braking helping to recover energy in stop-and-go traffic. Payload capacity is 750 kg against a kerb weight of 860 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 1610 kg.
Dimensions and practicality
The 3560 mm x 1497 mm x 1820 mm truck runs on an 1800 mm wheelbase with 170 mm ground clearance and a 2046 mm cargo deck length, in a D+1 cabin layout. A digital instrument cluster, connected car app and power steering round out the package.
Who should buy it
The Ace Pro EV is aimed at small fleet operators and last-mile delivery businesses that can charge overnight and keep routes within its real-world 100-120 km range. The 50 kmph top speed keeps it to city work, and buyers should plan routes around the certified 155 km figure rather than relying on it fully loaded.
