Montra Electric Eviator

The Montra Electric Eviator is the Murugappa Group brand's 3.5-tonne GVW electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV), built for mid and last-mile cargo duty. It is offered in two variants, the 350L at Rs 16.11 lakh and the 350X at Rs 16.39 lakh (ex-showroom), and carries a 1707 kg rated payload on a 3140 mm loading deck.

Range and charging

The Eviator pairs a 40 kWh liquid-cooled LFP battery with a certified range of 245 km and a real-world figure of around 170 km per charge. A CCS2 fast-charging port tops the pack from 0-80% in about an hour on DC, while an AC charge takes roughly 6 hours for the same range recovery; a full AC charge is listed at 5 hours 15 minutes. The 347.6 V architecture feeds an 80 kW PMSM motor that drives the rear e-axle.

Performance and payload

Peak output is 80 kW and 300 Nm, enough for an 80 km/h top speed, 35% gradeability and a 0-50 km/h time of 15 seconds. The deck body sits on a 2677 mm wheelbase with 197 mm of ground clearance, 2-stage parabolic leaf springs front and rear, disc brakes up front with drums at the rear, and electric power steering. Standard kit includes regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, a digital instrument cluster, drive modes and the 1M connected app.
