Lexus ES Electric

The new-generation Lexus ES Electric (ES 500e) is Lexus' first all-electric offering in India. Launched in March 2026, it is a pure-electric luxury sedan powered by a 74.68 kWh battery pack driving dual motors (167 kW front, 88 kW rear) for 338 bhp AWD. It claims 580 km range (ARAI), 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, and DC fast charging from 10-80% in 28 minutes on a 150 kW charger.

The Lexus ES Electric is offered in India as a single ES 500e variant priced at Rs 89.99 lakh (ex-showroom). On-road price varies by state once registration, insurance and local taxes are added. Five paint options are available: White Nova, Sonic Titanium, Graphite Black, SOU and Sonic Copper.

Range & Charging

The 74.68 kWh battery delivers a claimed ARAI range of 580 km. DC fast charging on a 150 kW charger tops the battery from 10-80% in about 28 minutes, while a full charge on the standard 11 kW AC charger takes roughly 7 hours. The battery carries an 8-year or 200,000 km warranty.

Performance & Driving

Twin motors deliver all-wheel drive with 338 bhp and 438 Nm of torque, good for 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and a 180 km/h top speed. Drive modes number four plus a custom setting, and regenerative braking is standard. It rides on 21-inch wheels with MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension.

Cabin & Features

Inside, the ES Electric gets a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, Mark Levinson audio, semi-aniline leather seats with heating and ventilation, rear massage seats, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control and ambient lighting.

Safety

Safety equipment includes 10 airbags, electronic stability control, TPMS, all-wheel disc brakes, a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking and blind spot monitoring.
