The MG Cyberster is an all-electric two-door convertible roadster, positioned by MG as a halo model and the spiritual successor to the classic MGB. It is sold in India through MG Select outlets and pairs striking Kammback styling and scissor doors with genuine supercar-level performance.
Price & Variants
Priced from Rs 82.5 lakh (Cyberster GT) to Rs 87.49 lakh (Cyberster Couture Edition), ex-showroom India. The Couture Edition, a limited 50-unit collaboration with designer Gaurav Gupta, was launched in August 2026. On-road pricing adds registration, insurance and state taxes to the ex-showroom figure.
Battery & Range
Powered by a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Cyberster claims a range of 580 km on the MIDC cycle. The battery is covered by a Lifetime HV warranty for the first owner, with the vehicle itself carrying a 3-year / unlimited km warranty.
Charging
It supports 144 kW DC fast charging from 10-80% in about 40 minutes via a CCS-II connector, and a full AC charge takes approximately 12.5 hours — so most owners will top up overnight and save DC charging for longer trips.
Performance
A dual-motor AWD setup produces 503 bhp (510 PS) and 725 Nm of torque, propelling the roadster from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds to an electronically limited top speed of 200 km/h. Pirelli P Zero tyres and four Brembo disc brakes round out the performance package, with Comfort, Sport, Super Sport and Custom drive modes.
Features & Safety
The cabin features a triple-screen cockpit with a 10.25-inch display, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, four airbags and an electrically operated soft-top roof. Regenerative braking, ventilated seats and wireless phone charging are also on the equipment list.
Who Should Buy It
The Cyberster is a pure lifestyle car for enthusiasts who want an electric drop-top with real performance, head-turning presence and a claimed 580 km range, rather than everyday practicality — it is a strict two-seater with a 250-litre boot. If a practical EV is the priority, a four-door will serve better; if theatre and speed matter more, the Cyberster is in a class of its own under Rs 90 lakh.
