The Audi Q8 e-tron is Audi India's flagship electric SUV, launched on 18 August 2023 as the comprehensively updated successor to the original e-tron. It is now listed as discontinued in the Indian market, with last recorded ex-showroom prices of Rs 1.15-1.27 crore.
Price & Variants
The Q8 e-tron was sold in two fully-loaded quattro variants - the 50 e-tron at Rs 1.15 crore and the 55 e-tron at Rs 1.27 crore (ex-showroom). Both are dual-motor, all-wheel-drive, five-seater SUVs.
Battery & Range
Two battery packs were offered: a 95 kWh unit in the 50 e-tron with a claimed range of 491 km, and a 114 kWh pack in the 55 e-tron claiming 582 km per charge. Audi India quoted an ARAI-figured range of up to 600 km for the range-topping model.
Performance
The 50 e-tron produces 335 bhp and 664 Nm, sprinting 0-100 kmph in 6.0 seconds; the 55 e-tron develops 402 bhp with the same 664 Nm and a 5.6-second 0-100 kmph time. Top speed is 200 kmph. Adaptive air suspension with ride-height adjustment and a low 252 mm unladen ground clearance keep the ride plush.
Charging
On a 170 kW DC fast charger the battery charges from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes. An 11 kW AC wallbox replenishes the pack in roughly 12 hours, with a 22 kW AC fast-charging option available.
Dimensions & Practicality
The Q8 e-tron measures 4915 mm in length, 1976 mm in width and 1632 mm in height on a 2928 mm wheelbase, with a 505-litre boot and 2585 kg kerb weight. It carries 8 airbags, a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen and the myAudi connect app suite.
