The Komaki MX16 Pro is an electric cruiser motorcycle launched by Komaki Electric in India in November 2025. It pairs a 4 kW BLDC hub motor with a 4.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, and with a full metal body, 40-litre storage and a claimed range of up to 220 km, it is aimed at riders who want a long-distance electric commuter rather than a lightweight city scooter.

Price & Variants

Priced at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom), the MX16 Pro is offered in a single STD variant in two colour options — Jet Black and Dual Tone. Regional ex-showroom prices run to about Rs 1.76 lakh in metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with the final on-road figure varying by state RTO and tax rates.

Battery, Range & Charging

A 4.5 kWh battery delivers an ARAI-claimed range of 160 km, with Komaki claiming up to 220 km per charge in ideal conditions. Real-world range will be lower on highways and in stop-go city traffic, so treat the ARAI figure as the reference for everyday use.

Charging is via the home charger only — a full 0-100 percent charge takes 3-4 hours, and there is no DC fast-charging option. That makes the MX16 Pro best suited to overnight top-ups rather than quick public charging stops.

Performance & Ride

The 4 kW BLDC motor produces 140 Nm of torque for an 80 km/h top speed. A triple disc brake setup (double disc front, disc rear) provides the stopping power, though ABS is not offered. Front inverted telescopic forks and an adjustable rear suspension deliver a stable, comfortable cruiser ride, with tubeless tyres for puncture convenience.

Features & Practicality

Standard equipment includes a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, reverse assist, regenerative braking, DRLs, a side-stand sensor and a 40-litre storage compartment — plenty for a helmet and daily essentials.

Who Should Buy It

The MX16 Pro suits riders who want a feature-rich electric cruiser with big claimed range and generous storage for daily commuting and weekend rides. The 3-year / 30,000 km warranty on the battery, motor and controller helps ownership confidence, though the still-growing dealer network and the lack of fast charging are worth checking before you book.
