The Yugbike YUG400 is a non-RTO electric scooter built for urban commuters who want an affordable, licence-free way to cover daily errands and short trips. Priced at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom), it runs a 60V 30Ah lithium battery feeding a 250W IP67-rated BLDC hub motor at the rear wheel, good for a range of 40 to 50 km per charge and a top speed of 25 km/h.

Range, Battery and Charging

The fixed 60V lithium pack takes about 3 to 4 hours for a full charge on the standard charger. There is no swappable or portable battery, so you charge the scooter where it stands. Riding modes include Eco, Sport and High, so you can trade punch for range depending on the road.

Brakes, Suspension and Features

A front disc brake with a rear drum does the stopping, while hydraulic suspension at both ends handles broken city roads. The feature list covers a digital display, LED headlamp and DRLs, a USB charging port, central locking, an anti-theft system, reverse mode and a pillion seat. The ABS plastic body keeps kerb weight to about 100 kg and it carries up to 150 kg.
