The TVS X is the flagship electric scooter from TVS Motor, a crossover-styled performance EV built on the all-new TVS Xleton platform with an exposed aluminium frame. Launched in India at Rs 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom), it sits at the very top of the brand's electric two-wheeler line-up, above the iQube.
Battery & Range
A 4.44 kWh lithium-ion (NMC) battery with two battery units delivers a claimed range of 159 km per charge; TVS quotes a real-world range of 118 +/- 5 km in standard riding conditions. A portable 950 W charger takes it from 0-80% in about 3.5-4 hours.
Performance
An 11 kW (peak) BLDC motor produces 37 Nm of torque, with a claimed top speed of 105 km/h. Three riding modes - Xtealth, Xtride and Xonic - tune performance and regenerative braking, and TVS quotes a 0-40 km/h time of 2.5 seconds.
Features & Technology
The centrepiece is a 10.2-inch tiltable TFT panoramic display with Android Auto, full-map navigation, voice assistant, Alexa integration, OTA updates and the TVS Smart Shield connected-safety suite. It also gets cruise control, hill hold, single-channel ABS, keyless access and a 19-litre under-seat storage compartment.
Dimensions & Practicality
At 1,793 mm long, 809 mm wide and 1,149 mm tall with a 1,285 mm wheelbase, the X has a 770 mm seat height and a kerb weight of 137 kg. It rides on 12-inch wheels with 220 mm front and 195 mm rear disc brakes.
Who should buy it
The TVS X is for riders who want a flagship, feature-packed electric scooter and are willing to pay for it — over Rs 2.6 lakh is a lot for a two-wheeler. It suits tech-forward commuters who value the 10.2-inch Android Auto display, the connected features and 105 km/h capability. If value or fast charging matters most, cheaper scooters make more sense.
