The Simple Ultra is the flagship electric scooter from Bengaluru-based Simple Energy, launched in April 2026 as the brand's fastest and longest-range offering. Powered by a 6.5 kWh dual-battery pack, it is positioned as a no-compromise performance scooter for riders who want maximum claimed range and strong acceleration.
Price & Variants
Priced at Rs 2.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in a single variant — Ultra STD. It sits above the Simple One (Rs 1.95 lakh) and Simple OneS (Rs 1.60 lakh) in the brand lineup.
Battery & Range
A 6.5 kWh lithium-ion dual-battery pack — the largest on any Indian electric scooter at launch — delivers a claimed IDC range of 400 km per charge. Simple Energy states a committed EcoX real-world range of 230 km.
Performance
An 8.8 kW PMSM motor produces 72 Nm of torque, taking the scooter from 0-40 km/h in 2.77 seconds to a claimed 115 km/h top speed. Six ride modes (Eco X, Eco, Ride, Air, Sonic, Sonic X), four-level traction control and four-level regenerative braking are standard.
Charging
Charging is via a portable 750 W charger that fills the battery from 0-80% in about 8.5 hours at home. Fast charging takes the pack from 0-80% in about 2 hours 15 minutes on Simple Energy's charging network.
Features & Practicality
A 7-inch TFT touchscreen runs Android 12 with built-in navigation, Bluetooth, OTA updates, TPMS, geo-fencing and Find My Vehicle. Dual 200 mm/190 mm disc brakes with CBS, telescopic front fork with progressive monoshock rear, a 780 mm seat height and 26-litre underseat storage round out the package. The motor is IP67-rated.
