BGauss Max C12

The BGauss Max C12 is a family-focused electric scooter from BGauss, designed for daily city commutes with an upright seating stance, flat seat and a sturdy pressed-steel chassis. It is offered in three variants — C12i Ex, C12i 2.0 and C12 3.0 — covering an ARAI-certified range of 85 km to 123 km.

Price & Variants

The Max C12 is priced from ₹99,990 to ₹1,29,990 (ex-showroom) across three variants. The base C12i Ex pairs a 2.0 kWh battery with an 85 km claimed range, while the C12i 2.0 and C12 3.0 step up to a 2.7 kWh battery with a 123 km claimed range. The range-topping C12 3.0 adds a 5-inch TFT display, cruise mode, reverse assist and dual-tone paint options.

Battery & Range

The C12i Ex uses a 2.0 kWh lithium-ion battery (85 km/charge), while the C12i 2.0 and C12 3.0 use a removable 2.7 kWh pack (123 km/charge). Batteries are IP67-rated with an air-cooled management system; battery warranty is 3 years/30,000 km on the base and 3 years/50,000 km on the 2.7 kWh variants.

Performance

A 2.5 kW PMSM hub motor delivers 105 Nm torque and a 60 km/h top speed, with 0-40 km/h in 8.5 seconds. Eco and Sport riding modes cap at 45 km/h and 60 km/h respectively.

Charging

Home AC charging takes about 4.5-4.75 hours (0-100%) for the 2.0 kWh pack and around 6.25-6.5 hours for the 2.7 kWh pack; there is no DC fast charging. The battery is portable and can be charged separately from a regular 6A socket.

Dimensions & Practicality

At 1825 mm x 697 mm x 1150 mm with a 1292 mm wheelbase and 155 mm ground clearance, the Max C12 offers a 765 mm seat height, 23-litre under-seat storage, a lockable under-foot charger bay and a front storage area. It rides on 12-inch front / 10-inch rear tubeless tyres with drum brakes and a Combi Brake System.
