Tata Curvv EV

The Tata Curvv EV is India's first electric SUV coupé, built on Tata's Acti.ev platform and positioned in the midsize electric SUV segment between the Nexon EV and the Sierra EV. Launched in August 2024, it now sells in three 55 kWh trims priced from Rs 16.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom) after the SeriesX update in May 2026.

Battery & Range

A single 55 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion pack delivers an ARAI-certified range of 502 km, with expert tests reporting roughly 345-365 km in real-world conditions. An 11.6-litre frunk and a 500-litre boot add everyday practicality, and the high-voltage battery carries a lifetime warranty.

Performance & Charging

The front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor produces 165 bhp and 215 Nm, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h. A 70 kW DC fast charger tops the battery from 10-80% in 40 minutes, while a 7.2 kW AC wall box takes about 7.9 hours. Three drive modes and regenerative braking help stretch the real-world range.

Safety & Features

Standard safety includes six airbags, ESP, TPMS and disc brakes with i-VBAC, backed by a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating. Empowered trims add a Level 2 ADAS suite, and top variants bring a 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL audio, ventilated seats, a powered tailgate, a panoramic sunroof and V2L/V2V charging.
