The Porsche Cayenne Electric is the fourth-generation Cayenne, built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture shared with the Macan Electric. Unveiled in November 2025 and launched in India at Rs 1.76-2.26 crore (ex-showroom), it is Porsche's most powerful production road car ever in Turbo guise.

Price & Variants

Two variants are offered in India. The Cayenne Electric Standard is priced at Rs 1.76 crore with a dual-motor AWD setup producing 436 bhp and 835 Nm, while the Cayenne Electric Turbo tops the range at Rs 2.26 crore with 1,156 PS (1,140 bhp) and 1,500 Nm.

Battery & Range

Both variants share a 113 kWh lithium-ion battery pack (108 kWh net) on an 800V architecture. WLTP-claimed range is 642 km for the Standard and 623 km for the Turbo. As with any EV, real-world range sits below these claims depending on pace, climate and load.

Charging

The 800V platform supports DC fast charging at up to 400 kW, reaching 10-80% in as few as 16 minutes. An 11 kW AC onboard charger handles home charging, with a roughly 10-hour fill from empty. Regenerative braking recovers up to 600 kW.

Performance & Practicality

The Standard does 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with a 230 km/h top speed, while the Turbo hits 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and tops out at 260 km/h. The cabin seats five with a 747-litre boot, a 14.25-inch OLED instrument cluster and a 12.25-inch curved OLED display, with adaptive air suspension and Level 2 ADAS with Innodrive.

Who should buy it

The Cayenne Electric is for buyers who want a genuine Porsche with everyday usability: five-seat space, a 642 km claimed range on the Standard, and exceptional 400 kW charging on long trips. The Turbo exists for those who will trade range for the most powerful production Porsche ever. It is an expensive, heavy SUV, so it rewards owners who value pace, space and charging speed in equal measure.
