MG M9

The MG M9 is a luxury electric MPV sold in India through MG Select premium dealerships. The Indian-spec M9 is a rebadged Maxus Mifa 9, offered in two variants — Presidential Limo and Couture Edition — powered by a single front-axle electric motor producing 242 bhp (245 PS) and 350 Nm from a 90 kWh NMC battery pack.

Priced from Rs 79.95 lakh to Rs 84.94 lakh (ex-showroom) across two variants — Presidential Limo and the limited-run Couture Edition (50 units, launched August 2026 with a Rs 4.99 lakh premium over the standard car). Both are fully imported CBUs sold only through MG Select dealerships.

Battery & Range

The 90 kWh NMC battery delivers a claimed MIDC/ARAI range of 548 km, with a real-world range of roughly 400 km reported by reviews. AC charging takes about 10 hours on an 11 kW charger, while DC fast charging tops up 10-100% in 90 minutes on a 160 kW charger. A 3.3 kW AC wall box is included, and V2L and V2V are supported.

Performance

The front-wheel-drive permanent magnet synchronous motor makes 242 bhp and 350 Nm, with a top speed of 175 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of about 10.5 seconds. MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension prioritise ride comfort.

Dimensions & Practicality

At 5,200 mm long, 2,000 mm wide and 1,800 mm tall on a 3,200 mm wheelbase, the 7-seater offers 945 litres of boot space (expandable to 1,720 litres with the third row folded) plus a 55-litre frunk. It rides on 19-inch wheels wrapped in Continental ContiSeal self-sealing tyres.
