The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is the flagship electric SUV from Mercedes-Benz in India, locally assembled and positioned as the electric equivalent of the GLS. It is offered in both five-seater and seven-seater configurations on a dual-motor 4MATIC all-wheel-drive layout.

Priced from Rs 1.33 crore to Rs 1.48 crore (ex-showroom) across four variants — the EQS 450 4MATIC, EQS 450 Celebration Edition, EQS 580 4MATIC and EQS 580 Celebration Edition. The January 2026 Celebration Edition adds AMG Line styling and standard rear-seat ventilation.
Battery & Range
A 122 kWh lithium-ion battery pack delivers a claimed ARAI range of 820 km for the 450 4MATIC and 809 km for the 580 4MATIC. DC fast charging at 200 kW takes the battery from 10% to 80% in about 31 minutes, and a 22 kW AC wallbox completes a full charge in roughly 6.25 hours.
Performance
The 450 4MATIC produces 355 bhp and 800 Nm (0-100 km/h in 6.1s), while the 580 4MATIC produces 536 bhp and 858 Nm (0-100 km/h in 4.7s). Adaptive air suspension and 10-degree rear-axle steering make the 5.1-metre SUV easy to manoeuvre, and the top speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h.
Dimensions & Practicality
Measuring 5136 mm in length, 1965 mm in width and 1718 mm in height on a 3210 mm wheelbase, the EQS SUV offers 610 litres of boot space with the third row stowed, 220 mm of ground clearance and a 2845 kg kerb weight. The cabin features the MBUX Hyperscreen, 15-speaker Burmester 3D audio and nine airbags with Level 2 ADAS.
