Mercedes-Benz EQB

The Mercedes-Benz EQB is a compact luxury electric SUV (X243) from Mercedes-EQ, sold in India from December 2022 until it was delisted in April 2026. Based on the GLB platform, it was the only seven-seater luxury EV offered in India, pairing the brand's classy MBUX cabin with a choice of front- or all-wheel-drive electric powertrains.

Price & Variants

Last recorded India prices ran from Rs 72.20 lakh to Rs 78.90 lakh (ex-showroom) across three variants — EQB 250 Plus, EQB 300 4MATIC and EQB 350 4MATIC — all with a single-speed automatic. The model was discontinued in India in April 2026.

Battery & Range

Two pack options were offered: a 70.5 kWh unit in the 250 Plus (claimed 535 km WLTP) and a 66.5 kWh unit in the 300 4MATIC (423 km) and 350 4MATIC (447 km) variants. Real-world highway range was typically 340-370 km.

Performance

The 250 Plus uses a 140 kW front motor (188 bhp, 385 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 8.9s); the 300 4MATIC adds a rear axle for 225 bhp and 390 Nm; and the 350 4MATIC delivers 288 bhp and 520 Nm from its dual-motor AWD setup, hitting 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. All variants top out at 160 km/h.

Charging

All variants charge at up to 100 kW DC (10-80% in 32-35 minutes) and 11 kW AC via the onboard charger. A complimentary 11 kW wallbox charger was included with purchase.

Dimensions & Practicality

At 4,684 mm long, 1,834 mm wide and 1,673 mm tall on a 2,829 mm wheelbase, the EQB offered 465 litres of boot space (up to 1,620 litres with seats folded) and, on the 250 Plus and 300 4MATIC, seven seats across three rows.

Safety & Features

The EQB carried a 5-star Euro NCAP rating with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, active brake assist, a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging and, on the facelifted cars, a Level 2 ADAS suite.
