The Lexus ES 350h is the strong-hybrid version of the ES series, launched in India on 15 July 2026 at Rs 66.10-71.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It undercuts the fully-electric ES 500e by nearly Rs 24 lakh while offering the same premium 5-seat luxury sedan packaging, powered by a 2.5L strong-hybrid powertrain with e-CVT and front-wheel drive.
Powertrain and performance
A 2487 cc four-cylinder petrol engine works with an electric motor to produce 244 bhp combined, with the e-CVT delivering drive to the front wheels. It is a self-charging hybrid - no plugging in required - and runs 0-100 km/h in about 8 seconds. Official mileage figures have not been announced yet.
Features and safety
Exterior design brings the signature Lexus spindle grille, vertically-stacked LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels and a coupe-like roofline. Inside, the dual-tone cabin offers a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and ventilated and heated front seats on the Luxury trim. Safety includes 8 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and high beam assist.
Who should buy it
The ES 350h suits luxury sedan buyers who want a quiet, refined hybrid with strong standard equipment and Level 2 ADAS, without the range and charging considerations of a pure EV. It is a 5-seater measuring 5305 mm long with a 3030 mm wheelbase, offered in two trims - Exquisite and Luxury - and five colours.
