The Mahindra BE 6 is a coupe-styled electric SUV on Mahindra's INGLO platform — a young, fast and tech-loaded take on the brand's EV line-up, aimed at buyers who want punchy performance and long range in a sharply styled five-seater. Prices start at ₹18.90 lakh and top out at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), with on-road pricing in Delhi from about ₹19.87 lakh.
Range and charging
Two battery packs, two range ratings. The 59 kWh variants claim up to 557 km on the MIDC cycle, while the 79 kWh variants (Pack Two 79kWh, Pack Three and Batman Edition) are rated at up to 683 km. A CCS2 DC port supports charging up to 175 kW — 20-80% in about 20 minutes — and AC charging via Type 2 takes 8.7 hours (7.2 kW) or 6 hours (11.2 kW) for a full charge. Note the AC charger is now sold separately.
Performance and driving
228-282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque from the rear-mounted permanent-magnet motor deliver a claimed 0-100 km/h time of about 6.7 seconds and a 202 km/h top speed. Drive modes cover Range, Everyday and Race, with MacPherson-strut front and multi-link rear suspension on 18- or 19-inch wheels.
Features and practicality
A 12.3-inch touchscreen, panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS (from Pack Two upward) headline the cabin, with six or seven airbags, a 455-litre boot and a lifetime battery warranty for the first private owner (10 years on transfer). Ground clearance of 207 mm keeps it SUV-practical.
Who should buy it
Enthusiasts who want a quick, long-legged electric SUV with an aggressive look and segment-leading range. If you mostly need a softer-riding family EV, the firmer suspension, separate AC charger and premium pricing of the top variants are the trade-offs to weigh first.
