The Srivaru Prana 2.0 is an electric sports motorcycle from Bengaluru-based startup Srivaru Motors, launched in India on 23 August 2024. It pairs a 10 kW BLDC hub motor with a double-cradle steel frame and a streetfighter stance, and is offered in two variants — Grand and Elite.

Price and Variants

The Prana 2.0 is priced from Rs 2.75 lakh to Rs 3.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The Grand (Rs 2.75 lakh) runs a 5 kWh battery, while the Elite (Rs 3.70 lakh) gets an 8.44 kWh pack.

Battery and Range

The Grand claims 150 km per charge and the Elite 250 km (ARAI). Home charging takes about 4.4 hours on the Grand and 7.3 hours on the Elite for a 0-100% charge; there is no DC fast-charge option, so overnight charging is the routine. The battery carries a 3-year or 45,000 km warranty.

Performance

The 10 kW BLDC hub motor produces 38 Nm of torque and a claimed top speed of 123 km/h. Four ride modes are offered — Practice, Drive, Sports and Reverse — with regenerative braking, a 13.4 bhp rating, and a kerb weight of 157.3 kg on the Grand and 181 kg on the Elite.

Dimensions and Practicality

The Prana 2.0 measures 2120 mm in length with a 1415 mm wheelbase, 150 mm ground clearance and a 770-772 mm seat height. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tubeless tyres, with a telescopic fork and monoshock rear suspension. Braking is by twin 275 mm discs up front and a 220 mm disc at the rear; ABS is not offered.

Features and Who Should Buy It

A 4.3-inch TFT console with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, inbuilt GPS, push-button start, LED lighting and a tyre-pressure sensor round out the feature list. For riders who want a genuinely sporty electric motorcycle with highway-capable pace and strong claimed range without paying flagship prices, the Prana 2.0 is a compelling pick — if you can live with AC-only charging.
