The Revolt RV1 is Revolt Motors' most affordable electric motorcycle, built as a straight replacement for the everyday 100-110cc commuter. Priced from Rs 94,990 to Rs 1.05 lakh (ex-showroom), it pairs a 2.8 kW mid-drive motor with a removable battery, low running costs and a practical, minimalist design.
Range and battery
The base RV1 STD uses a 2.2 kWh LFP pack with a claimed IDC range of 100 km, while the RV1 Plus steps up to a 3.24 kWh NMC battery claiming 160 km. Both packs are removable for charging at home or work, and both carry an 8-year / 80,000 km battery warranty — among the strongest on any sub-1.05-lakh electric bike.
Charging
The RV1 STD takes about 3 hours 15 minutes for a 0-100 per cent charge on a standard charger, while the RV1 Plus needs around 4 hours 45 minutes for a full charge. The Plus also supports faster charging, filling 0-80 per cent in about 80 minutes, and a portable charger plugs into a regular home socket.
Performance and practicality
A 2.8 kW mid-drive PMSM motor with 32 Nm of torque delivers a 70 km/h top speed, tuned for smooth city acceleration rather than highway pace. Combi Brake System drums handle stopping — ABS is not offered — and a 190 mm ground clearance, 772 mm seat height and 105-106 kg kerb weight make it light and easy to manage. A long single-piece seat and front storage box add daily usability, though there is no smartphone connectivity.
Who should buy it
The RV1 suits first-time electric bike owners and daily commuters who want a removable battery, a long battery warranty and petrol-like running costs for under Rs 1.05 lakh. If you need ABS, highway speed or connected features, look elsewhere; if you want a fuss-free, cheap-to-run city motorcycle, the RV1 delivers.
