The Mantis looks the part - sleek, aggressive, mantis-inspired styling that turns heads and backs it up with strong on-paper numbers: a 20.5kW/93Nm motor, 221km claimed range and 8.9-second 0-100km/h. In practice, reviewers found the power tapers off after sustained hard riding as thermal protection kicks in, so it's better suited to spirited commuting than repeated track-style runs.

Braking is the Mantis's weak point - reviewers consistently describe the brakes as underconfident and prone to judder under hard use, and the lack of rear ABS lets the rear wheel lock up under panic braking. Handling feedback is inconsistent too, so a cautious, unhurried riding style is advised until you're familiar with the bike.

Fit and finish don't quite match the Rs 3.60 lakh asking price, with reviewers flagging inconsistent paint quality and panel gaps. There are also no rider-selectable ride modes and only a single retail colour, and as a young start-up Orxa doesn't yet have the nationwide service network of established brands - worth weighing before committing.
