The Ola Roadster is Ola Electric's naked-street electric motorcycle, built as a commuter-friendly bike with stronger performance credentials than most electric scooters. It is priced from ₹1.05 lakh to ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and is powered by a 13 kW (17.4 bhp) motor producing 58 Nm of torque. It is offered in three Li-ion battery packs — 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh and 6 kWh — with IDC-claimed ranges of 151 km, 190 km and 248 km respectively, and top speeds of 116 km/h and 126 km/h.
Range and battery
The 3.5 kWh Roadster claims 151 km, the 4.5 kWh claims 190 km and the 6 kWh claims 248 km on the IDC test cycle. Charging times vary by pack: the 3.5 kWh variant takes about 5 hours for a full conventional charge and 4.6 hours for 0-80% fast charging, while the 4.5 kWh and 6 kWh variants take roughly 5.9 and 7.9 hours respectively for a 0-80% charge. The battery is IP67-rated, and real-world range will naturally be lower than the claims.
Performance and riding
All three variants share the same 17.4 bhp / 58 Nm motor, with the 3.5 kWh version topping out at 116 km/h and the 4.5 kWh and 6 kWh versions reaching 126 km/h. Four ride modes — Hyper, Sport, Normal and Eco — let you trade pace for range. The Roadster rides on 160 mm ground clearance and a 1359 mm wheelbase, with double-disc front and disc rear brakes, monoshock rear suspension, TPMS and a single-channel ABS for controlled stops.
Features and practicality
The Roadster gets a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen running Ola's MoveOS 5, connected features through the Ola Electric mobile app, and tubeless tyres. It is a two-seater with a naked-street stance, making it easy to handle in city traffic while still being highway-capable. The dashboard supports navigation, ride data and app integration.
Who should buy it
The Ola Roadster suits daily commuters who want an electric motorcycle with a claimed range of up to 248 km and real speed, without stepping up to a full-size superbike. Buyers who value the biggest battery and fastest top speed should pick the 6 kWh variant, while cost-conscious riders can save with the 3.5 kWh pack. As with all EVs, plan for real-world range below the IDC claim.
