The Ola Roadster X is Ola Electric's entry-level electric motorcycle, sitting below the Roadster X+ in the brand's Roadster family. It uses a 7 kW mid-drive motor producing 58 Nm and is offered with three battery pack options — 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh.
Price & Variants
Priced from ₹99,999 to ₹1,24,999 (ex-showroom) across three variants: Roadster X 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh. All three share the same motor, frame and feature list, differing mainly in battery, range and top speed. On-road prices vary by state RTO and taxes.
Battery & Range
IDC-claimed range scales with the pack — 140 km on the 2.5 kWh, 196 km on the 3.5 kWh and 252 km on the 4.5 kWh variant. Real-world range will be lower under highway speeds and heavy traffic, so use the IDC figures as the commuting benchmark. The battery carries a 3 year / 50,000 km warranty.
Performance
The 7 kW mid-drive motor delivers 58 Nm and a claimed top speed of 105 km/h on the base variant and 118 km/h on the 3.5 and 4.5 kWh variants. Sprint times from 0-40 km/h are 3.4 seconds on the base and 3.1 seconds on the larger packs, with a 777 mm seat height and 180 mm ground clearance.
Charging
All variants charge from a regular home socket via a 750 W charger, taking 4.6 to 6.2 hours for 0-80%. There is no DC fast-charging option, so the Roadster X is best suited to overnight top-ups rather than quick public charging stops.
Features
Standard equipment includes a 4.3-inch LCD console running MoveOS, three ride modes (Eco, Normal, Sport), cruise control, reverse assist, regenerative braking, LED lighting with DRLs, Bluetooth and OTA updates. Braking is handled by drum brakes front and rear with CBS and single-channel ABS.
Who Should Buy It
The Roadster X is for first-time electric motorcycle buyers who want a full-sized, feature-loaded machine under ₹1.25 lakh without sacrificing app connectivity and ride modes. If you need a 500 km monthly commute covered in one charge or DC fast charging on the road, step up to a larger pack or a rival with faster charging — otherwise the 3.5 and 4.5 kWh variants are the sensible picks.
