Oben Rorr EZ

The Oben Rorr EZ is Oben Electric's affordable electric commuter motorcycle, aimed at first-time EV buyers and priced between roughly Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with entry-level electric bikes such as the Revolt RV1, offering petrol-style city performance from an electric powertrain.

Range & Charging

The Rorr EZ is offered with three battery options — 2.6 kWh, 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh — with claimed range running from 110 km on the base pack up to 175 km on the largest. Full home charging takes about 4 to 5 hours depending on the variant, while fast charging takes the battery to 80 per cent in 45 to 120 minutes.

Performance & Driving

A 7.5 kW motor (10.1 bhp) delivers a claimed 0-40 km/h time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 95 km/h, with 52 Nm of torque on tap. Reviewers describe city performance as comparable to a 125cc-135cc petrol motorcycle. A 200 mm ground clearance helps it glide over speed breakers and rough roads.

Features & Practicality

Standard kit includes push-button start, GPS tracking, a driver alert system and Oben's companion app. The Rorr EZ rolls on tubeless 17-inch tyres and comes in five colours — Surge Cyan, Electro Amber, Lumina Green, Photon White and Flux Grey — though the base 2.6 kWh variant is limited to Flux Grey.
