Oben Rorr EZ Sigma

The Oben Rorr EZ Sigma is the tech-upgraded commuter electric motorcycle from Oben Electric, built on the Rorr EZ platform. It adds a 5-inch TFT colour display, a dedicated reverse mode and longer-life LFP battery chemistry, and is priced from Rs 1.17 lakh to Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom) across two battery variants and four colours.

Range and battery

The EZ Sigma is offered with a 3.4 kWh or a 4.4 kWh LFP battery pack. Oben claims a range of 110 km on the 3.4 kWh variant and 140 km on the 4.4 kWh variant on a full charge. The LFP chemistry delivers roughly twice the cycle life of Li-ion packs and better heat tolerance, and fast charging to 80 percent takes about 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

The battery is covered by an 8-year or 80,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, and the bike carries vehicle tracking as standard.

Performance and ride

A 7.5 kW (10.1 bhp) motor with 52 Nm of torque drives the rear wheel through a belt drive, giving the EZ Sigma a top speed of 95 km/h. A 37 mm telescopic front fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock handle the suspension, while 200 mm of ground clearance keeps the bike comfortable over broken city roads. Kerb weight ranges from 143 kg on the 3.4 kWh variant to 148 kg on the 4.4 kWh variant.

The headline addition over the standard Rorr EZ is a 5-inch TFT colour display with turn-by-turn navigation and call and message alerts, plus a reverse mode that makes tight parking and u-turns easier. The EZ Sigma comes in four colours - Electric Red, Surge Cyan, Electro Amber and Photon White.
