ABZO VS01

The ABZO VS01 is the first electric cruiser from Ahmedabad-based ABZO Motors, offered in a single VS01 STD trim at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). It pairs a retro-cruiser look with a 5.04 kWh Li-ion battery and a 6.3 kW rear hub motor, and is aimed at riders who want an affordable, stylish electric motorcycle for daily use.

Price & Variants

Priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) in one variant, VS01 STD, the bike is available in four Imperial colours: Black, Blue, Red and White. On-road price is around Rs 1.51 lakh in major cities.

Range & Charging

A 5.04 kWh lithium-ion battery delivers a claimed range of 150 km per charge. Charging takes 6 hours on a standard home charger and 3 hours with fast charging. In real-world use, owner reports place range at roughly 90-100 km, below the claimed figure.

Performance

The 6.3 kW hub motor produces 190 Nm of wheel torque with an 85 km/h top speed and a 0-60 km/h time of about 6 seconds. Eco, Normal and Sport modes cap speeds at 45, 65 and 85 km/h respectively, so riders can trade performance for range on city runs.

Features & Safety

Standard equipment includes disc brakes front and rear with a Combi Brake System, regenerative braking, reverse assist, LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, and a 1-year motor and battery warranty. ABS is not offered.

Who Should Buy It

The VS01 is best for new and returning riders who want cruiser styling and easy ergonomics -- with a low 700 mm seat height and telescopic front forks -- without the running costs of a petrol motorcycle. Its modest 1-year warranty and limited dealer network outside Gujarat are worth factoring in before you commit.
