Saarthi Star

The Saarthi Star is a high-speed electric passenger 3-wheeler (L5M category) built for faster last-mile city transport in India. It is a fully built passenger carrier with a 3000 W AC motor, offered in a single 4-Seater/Electric variant.

Battery and range

The Star runs on a 135 Ah battery pack that charges in 4-5 hours from a standard household outlet. On a full charge it covers up to 100 km, enough for a full day of commercial passenger operation.

Performance and comfort

The 4 hp (3000 W) AC motor takes the e-rickshaw to a top speed of 50 km/h, well above the low-speed e-rickshaw limit and better suited to longer city routes. Hydraulic shock absorbers up front and a leaf-spring-plus-hydraulic setup at the rear, with disc brakes, keep the ride controlled even at speed.
