Reep L5 Passenger

The Reep L5 Passenger is a high-speed electric auto-rickshaw (L5M passenger carrier) from Reep Industries, priced at around Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 2380/Electric variant. Built as a chassis-with-cabin, fully built three-wheeler with a day cabin, it seats the driver plus three passengers (D+3) and is aimed at owner-drivers and small fleets running daily intra-city passenger routes.

A 150 Ah lithium-ion battery pack on the 48 V electrical system gives the L5 Passenger a claimed ARAI range of 133 km on a single charge. Recharging the pack takes about 5 hours 30 minutes on a standard home socket, which suits overnight top-ups rather than quick turnarounds. For a fixed commuter run that typically means a full morning and evening of trips on one charge, then a recharge while the auto rests.
