The Ogata R1 is an electric passenger e-rickshaw (3-wheeler) built for last-mile city mobility in India. It is a fully-built passenger carrier with a 48V electrical system and a BLDC geared motor, offered in a single 4-seater variant.
Battery and range
The R1 uses a 130 Ah battery pack paired with a 48V system, delivering an approximate usable pack of 6.24 kWh. On a full charge the e-rickshaw covers up to 100-120 km, which comfortably covers a full day of city operation for a commercial passenger driver.
Performance and comfort
The 1 hp BLDC geared motor takes the R1 to a top speed of 25 km/h, the norm for passenger e-rickshaws that do not need a licence or registration. A telescopic hydraulic front suspension and leaf-spring shocker rear suspension smooth out uneven city roads, while drum brakes on all wheels provide stopping control.
