VariantsThe Mahindra Treo is India's best-selling electric auto-rickshaw, with over one lakh units sold, built for commercial passenger and last-mile mobility use.
The Treo is offered in three variants -- 4-Seater/Yaari SFT, 4-Seater/Yaari HRT and 3-Seater/SFT -- priced from Rs 3.23 lakh to Rs 3.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
A 7.4 kWh lithium-ion battery delivers a real-world range of about 110 km per charge (ARAI-certified 139 km). A full charge takes about 3 hours 50 minutes on a standard home socket, at an estimated cost of Rs 60-80 per charge.
An 8 kW motor produces 42 Nm of torque for a top speed of 55 km/h, enough to pull confidently with three passengers aboard. The body uses corrosion- and dent-free SMC panels with a weatherproof flex canopy over a steel-tube frame, and the motor is IP67-sealed against dust and monsoon flooding.
Compared to a CNG auto, the Treo is estimated to save drivers up to Rs 4.4 lakh over 5 years on running costs, and comes with a 5-year/120,000 km battery warranty.
