Electeca Eco

The Electeca Eco is a low-speed electric passenger rickshaw designed for last-mile commuting, market runs and short passenger trips. It uses a 48V electric drivetrain with a D+4 seating layout and a large 200 Ah battery for dependable daily running.

Performance and range

A 1 hp electric motor drives the rickshaw through an automatic gearbox with one forward and one reverse gear. Top speed is capped at 25 km/h to stay in the L3M low-speed passenger carrier category. The 200 Ah battery delivers a claimed range of 70 to 80 km on a full charge, with charging taking 8 to 10 hours.

Chassis and comfort

The Eco rides on three wheels with drum brakes, helical spring front suspension with dampener and leaf-spring rear units. With a 648 kg gross weight, 400 kg kerb weight and 175 mm ground clearance it handles uneven city roads well. A driver information display and handle-bar steering come standard.

Price and positioning

Priced from around ₹1.60 lakh, the Electeca Eco is a practical entry point into commercial e-rickshaw operation for individual operators and small fleets, with the larger battery offering peace of mind for long daily shifts.
