Devam EV King

The Devam EV King is an L3M low-speed passenger e-rickshaw designed for shared last-mile transport. It is a fully built 3-wheel electric carrier that seats a driver and four passengers, priced from about Rs. 1.61 lakh.

Low-speed city mover

The King is a low-speed passenger carrier (L3M) with a 25 km/h top speed, which keeps it within the regulatory class that does not need a high-speed registration. It is powered by a 1 Hp BLDC motor driving a 6.6 kWh pack (60 V / 110 Ah), giving a claimed range of around 100 km per charge.

Chassis and comfort

The fully built cabin sits on a 2780 mm long chassis with leaf-spring suspension front and rear and 3.00-12 tyres. Ground clearance of 120 mm and a 2090 mm wheelbase suit uneven inner-city roads.

Running costs

Charging takes about 6-8 hours, and with drum brakes and a simple automatic 1-forward 1-reverse drivetrain, the King keeps both purchase price and daily running costs low for commercial operators.
