Ele 5000 Ss

The Ele 5000 Ss is a low-speed electric passenger rickshaw built for last-mile city commuting and short passenger trips. It combines a compact three-wheeler body with a D+4 seating layout and a large-capacity battery for long daily runs.

Performance and range

A 1 hp electric motor drives the rickshaw through an automatic gearbox with one forward and one reverse gear. Top speed is capped at 25 km/h to stay in the L3M low-speed passenger carrier category. The 135 Ah battery delivers a claimed range of 130 to 150 km on a full charge, with charging taking 8 to 10 hours.

Chassis and comfort

The 5000 Ss rides on three wheels with drum brakes and leaf-spring suspension front and rear. With a 600 kg gross weight, 400 kg kerb weight, 180 mm ground clearance and a 1900 mm wheelbase, it is a stable, easy-to-manoeuvre city runabout. A driver information display and tubeless tyres come standard.

Priced from around ₹1.60 lakh, the Ele 5000 Ss targets operators who want a longer claimed range than typical entry e-rickshaws, making it a strong option for all-day shuttle and market commuting duties.
