The Ele E-Rickshaw is an electric passenger three-wheeler built for last-mile city commutes. It seats a driver plus four passengers and is aimed at e-rickshaw operators and fleet owners looking for low running costs.
Performance and range
Powered by a 1 hp BLDC motor with 22 Nm of torque, the Ele E-Rickshaw tops out at 25 km/h, which is the mandated limit for low-speed passenger carriers (L3M). On a full charge of its 6.24 kWh battery pack it covers around 80 km, enough for a full day of city trips.
Battery and charging
The battery is a 48 V lead-acid style pack and takes 8-10 hours for a full charge from a standard socket, making overnight charging the practical routine.
Body and suspension
The fully built body measures 2700 mm in length with a 750 kg gross weight and 385 kg kerb weight. A telescopic hydraulic front suspension and hydraulic rear shock absorbers smooth out rough city roads, while drum brakes at all wheels handle stopping.
Who is it for?
Best suited to intra-city passenger ferrying in the passenger carrier segment, the Ele E-Rickshaw pairs an entry-level price with the simplest possible electric ownership experience.
