Atut Sangam Passenger Electric Rickshaw

The Atut Sangam Passenger Electric Rickshaw is a low-speed (L3M) passenger carrier built for last-mile public transport in Indian cities and small towns. It seats four passengers plus the driver and is powered by a BLDC motor fed from a 48V, 80Ah battery pack.

Battery and range

The 48V 80Ah pack delivers roughly 3.8 kWh of usable energy, giving a range of around 80 km on a full charge. A standard home charger tops the pack up in 9 to 10 hours, which makes it a practical overnight-charge vehicle for daily commercial duty.

Body and build

The rickshaw uses a chassis-with-cabin construction with a fully built body, leaf-spring suspension front and rear, and 3.75x12 tubeless tyres. Ground clearance of 207 mm helps it handle uneven road surfaces, and the drum braking system keeps stopping predictable.

Performance

Output is rated at 1 hp with a 25 km/h top speed, in line with the L3M low-speed category that needs no special driving licence beyond the standard permit. The automatic transmission with 1 forward and 1 reverse gear simplifies city manoeuvring and parking.
