Aahana Sports Plus

The Aahana Sports Plus is a fully built electric passenger e-rickshaw in the L3M low-speed category, seating a driver and up to four passengers. It runs at a governed top speed of 25 km/h, so it is road-legal as a low-speed passenger carrier across most Indian states.

Battery and charging

It uses a 48V, 150Ah lead-acid pack (around 7.2 kWh) that charges fully in roughly 6 to 8 hours. The higher-capacity pack is the Sports Plus's main differentiator within the Aahana line-up, giving it more usable energy for longer daily duty cycles.

Motor and ride

A 1000W HD motor drives the rear wheel with a simple automatic drivetrain and a 1-forward, 1-reverse gearbox. The hydraulic spring shocker front suspension and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear keep the ride comfortable on Indian road conditions.

Dimensions and practicality

At 2790mm long and 1100mm wide, the cabin is wide enough for passenger comfort while staying nimble in narrow lanes. With a ground clearance of 170mm, it handles speed breakers and unpaved patches without drama.
