The TVS Orbiter is TVS Motor's second electric scooter after the iQube, aimed squarely at budget-conscious urban commuters. It comes in two variants that share the same 2.5kW hub motor, 68kmph top speed and drum-brake-with-CBS setup, differing only in battery size: the entry V1 carries a 1.8kWh pack for a claimed 86km IDC range, while the V2 steps up to a 3.1kWh pack good for a claimed 158km. Both charge via a 650W offboard charger, in roughly 2h20m (V1) to 4h10m (V2) for a 0-80% top-up.
Inside, the Orbiter leans on practicality over performance: a long, flat 845mm seat and 290mm footboard suit taller riders and pillions, a 34-litre underseat well plus a front cubby with USB charging cover daily errands, and a colour LCD console pairs with the SmartXonnect app for navigation, call/SMS alerts and remote vehicle tracking. Cruise control and hill-hold assist are unusual inclusions this low in the price ladder. The trade-off is safety kit: there's no front disc brake or ABS, only drum brakes front and rear with a Combi Brake System (CBS), and reviewers note the Orbiter's real-world performance sits a step below TVS's own iQube on the identical 3.1kWh battery. TVS backs the vehicle, battery and charger with a 3-year/50,000km warranty.
