JMT 1000HS

The JMT 1000HS is the high-speed variant of Jitendra EV's JMT 1000 series, built in Ahmedabad by a manufacturer that has been making electric two-wheelers since 2016. Listed here at Rs 1,01,267 ex-showroom, it sits above the SW variants in the line-up and is aimed squarely at daily city commuting and light last-mile duty.

Battery, motor and charging

Power comes from a 1.01 kW BLDC hub motor fed by a 2.04 kWh LFP battery (a 64V 32Ah pack). Jitendra claims up to 80 km per charge - BikeDekho's ARAI figure for the same variant reads 82 km - with a top speed of 52 km/h. The 600 W onboard charger refills the pack in roughly three and a half to four hours. Gradeability is rated at 7 degrees or better, and reverse assist makes tight parking spots easier to deal with.

Ride, brakes and running gear

The scooter rides on a tubular frame with a telescopic fork up front and hydraulic suspension at the rear. Braking is a disc at the front and drum at the rear, with 90/90-10 tubeless tyres on alloy wheels at both ends. At 1880 mm long with a 1412 mm wheelbase, it is a stable footprint for city speed bumps and potholes, and the 87 kg kerb weight keeps it manageable in traffic.

Features

The feature list is generous for the price: keyless ignition, remote start, central remote locking, find-my-scooter, anti-theft alert and a kill switch all come standard, alongside a Bluetooth-connected digital console, USB charging port, split seat and underseat storage.

Warranty

Jitendra covers both the battery and the vehicle for 3 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first, with a separate 1-year warranty on the charger.
