The Ampere Nexus is Greaves Electric Mobility's first high-performance family electric scooter, launched in India on 30 April 2024. It pairs a 3kWh LFP battery with a 4kW mid-mount motor for a claimed 136 km IDC range and 93 km/h top speed, wrapped in a sporty, seamless-body design with full LED lighting.
Price & Variants
The Nexus is offered in two core variants — the EX from ₹1,19,900 and the ST at ₹1,29,900 (ex-showroom). The ST upgrades to a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with Nex.IO connectivity, while the EX uses a 6.2-inch PMVA display; both share the same 3kWh LFP battery, motor and 136 km claimed range. Newer S Tourismo and Exec variants have also been unveiled.
Battery & Range
A 3kWh lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery delivers a claimed 136 km IDC range — better than the Bajaj Chetak's 131 km and TVS iQube's 123 km — with real-world figures around 100-110 km. The battery carries a segment-leading 5-year / 75,000 km warranty and is engineered for a 2,00,000 km service life.
Performance & Charging
The mid-mount motor produces 4kW peak power (5.4 bhp) and 157.7 Nm max torque, hitting 93 km/h in Power mode with 16-degree gradeability. Five riding modes — Eco, City, Power, Limp Home and Reverse — tailor the response. A standard 15A home charger tops it up from 0-100% in about 3.3 hours (0-80% in 2 hours 33 minutes); a 25A fast-charger accessory is optional.
Dimensions & Practicality
At 1912 x 715 x 1152 mm with a 1319 mm wheelbase and 170 mm ground clearance, the Nexus offers a 765 mm seat height and 22 litres of under-seat storage plus a front cubby. Hydraulic telescopic front forks and dual-shock rear suspension, disc front / drum rear brakes with CBS, and 12-inch tubeless alloys complete the package.
Features & Connectivity
The Nex.IO platform brings map mirroring on the 7-inch TFT, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, OTA updates, cruise control, call notifications and music control, along with the Ampere Connect app for battery health and ride stats.
