VinFast VF3

The VinFast VF3 is an upcoming 2-door electric micro-SUV planned for the Indian market, positioned as one of the most affordable EVs on the horizon with an expected ex-showroom price between Rs 7.5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. It targets first-time EV buyers and city commuters who want a compact, easy-to-park electric runabout rather than a full-size family car.

Range & Charging

The VinFast VF3 is powered by an 18.64 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 215 km on a single charge. That figure is a pre-launch global claim; the final ARAI-certified range for India has not been confirmed. The car supports DC fast charging, taking the battery from 10 to 70 per cent in roughly 36 minutes as per global specifications.

Performance & Driving

A rear-mounted motor produces 39 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 100 km/h — performance aimed at city driving rather than highway cruising. The VF3 rides on 16-inch wheels with a 191 mm ground clearance, and its compact footprint and 4,050 mm turning radius make it easy to thread through traffic and park in tight spots.

Practicality & Features

Despite its small size — 3,190 mm long with a 2,075 mm wheelbase — the VF3 seats four and offers a 285-litre boot. Standard equipment includes a 10-inch floating touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a reverse camera, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and front power windows. At 857 kg, the light kerb weight helps efficiency.
