VinFast VF e34

The VinFast VF e34 is a compact electric SUV from Vietnamese automaker VinFast, positioned as the entry point of the brand's India lineup and first shown at Auto Expo 2025. It is expected to launch in India around February 2027, with market estimates placing the price between roughly Rs 17 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) for a single Electric variant.

Range and charging

A 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery gives the VF e34 a claimed NEDC range of 318 km. DC fast charging takes the pack from 10 to 70 per cent in about 27 minutes, while the onboard AC charger needs roughly 8 hours for a full top-up — making it a capable city and intercity commuter rather than a long-distance tourer.

Performance and driving

A front-mounted permanent-magnet motor produces 150 PS (110 kW) and 242 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels with a 0-100 km/h time of under 9 seconds and a 130 km/h top speed. Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes let you trade range for response, and regenerative braking helps claw a little range back in city traffic.

Safety and features

Six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring, hill hold and Level 2 ADAS support the VF e34's 4-star ASEAN NCAP rating. The cabin gets a 10-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch instrument cluster, a connected-car app, Apple CarPlay, auto climate control and 18-inch alloy wheels, with seven exterior colours on offer.

Buyers who want a compact electric SUV with a genuine safety package and an established global brand behind it will find the VF e34 compelling, provided VinFast's India pricing, range and service network materialise as expected.
