The Tata Tigor EV is the electric version of Tata's compact sedan, a city-first EV priced from ₹12.49 lakh to ₹13.75 lakh (ex-showroom) across four variants. It combines a 4-star Global NCAP safety rating with a roomy cabin and a claimed ARAI range of 315 km from its 26 kWh battery.
Range and charging
A 26 kWh lithium-ion battery drives a 75 PS (73.75 bhp) e-motor with 170 Nm of torque, returning a claimed ARAI range of 315 km. A full AC charge takes just over 9 hours, while CCS2 DC fast charging tops up in about 59 minutes, and a charger is included with the car.
Performance and driving
A top speed of 120 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of 13.2 seconds make the Tigor EV a relaxed city cruiser rather than a performance car. Drive and Sport modes are offered, with regenerative braking, MacPherson-strut front suspension and a rear twist beam.
Features and practicality
A 316-litre boot, 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control and a punchy 8-speaker Harman Kardon system headline the equipment list, along with two airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and a semi-digital instrument cluster. There is no sunroof, and the dashboard design looks dated next to newer Tata EVs.
Who should buy it
City commuters who want a safe, economical, compact EV sedan backed by a big brand's service network. The battery and motor are covered for 8 years or 160,000 km. If you regularly drive intercity, plan DC charging stops — real-world range drops on the highway.
