The Tata Avinya is an upcoming premium electric SUV concept from Tata.ev, previewing the brand's next-generation EV design and charging architecture. Expected to launch in India by the end of 2026, it is priced at an estimated ₹45 lakh to ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom) — clearly above the current Tata EV line-up and aimed at the luxury end of the market.
Range and charging
Tata claims the Avinya will deliver around 500 km of range, with an ultra-fast charging capability that adds that 500 km in under 30 minutes. Both are OEM concept claims, not yet independently verified, and the exact battery capacity and motor output have not been disclosed — so treat 500 km strictly as the concept's target. Real-world range will depend on the production battery and motor, which are not yet finalised.
Design and practicality
The Avinya is a five-seat electric SUV measuring roughly 4300 mm in length, with an automatic transmission and a modern concept-car cabin. Standard features on the concept include a sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, regenerative braking, ESP, TPMS and ABS with EBD, plus dual front airbags. It is shown in White, Red and Black.
Who should buy it
The Avinya is for buyers who want a premium, tech-forward electric SUV with a bold design and very fast charging, and who are willing to wait for a 2026 launch. It is not the car if you need a confirmed battery size, motor output or warranty today. Tata plans to sell the Avinya as a standalone premium brand with its own showrooms and touchpoints, separate from the existing Tata and Tata.ev facilities, so the purchase experience itself is expected to be distinct.
