The Mahindra BE Rall-E is an upcoming all-wheel-drive electric SUV built as the rugged, off-road focused version of Mahindra's BE family. Expected to launch in India around November 2026 at an estimated Rs 22 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, it is aimed at buyers who want genuine AWD capability in an electric package rather than a soft-road showpiece.
Range and charging
500-550 km of claimed range. The BE Rall-E is expected with two battery packs from the BE family: a 59 kWh pack claiming around 500 km and a 79 kWh pack claiming around 550 km on a single charge. Both figures are expected values pending official ARAI certification.
Full charge in about eight hours. A 0-100 percent AC charge is expected at roughly 8 hours, while DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent is expected in about 20 to 28 minutes using up to roughly 175 kW, drawing on the BE 6 family's charging hardware.
Performance and driving
All-wheel drive with off-road intent. The BE Rall-E runs an AWD drivetrain and is expected to carry all-terrain tyres, off-road tuned drive modes, hill hold and regenerative braking. Production teasers show circular projector headlights and a prominent front bash plate that set it apart from the standard BE 6.
Practicality and features
A five-seat adventure SUV. With a 4371 mm length and 2775 mm wheelbase, the BE Rall-E seats five and is expected to include Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, dual digital displays, an electric tailgate and TPMS. Mahindra also quotes an 8-year battery warranty extending to 160,000 km.
Who should buy it
Adventure-first buyers who need AWD. If you regularly drive on broken roads, trails or hilly terrain and want the low running costs of an EV without giving up traction, the BE Rall-E is squarely aimed at you. City-only buyers who never leave tarmac are better served by a standard BE family SUV, since the off-road kit trades some efficiency for capability.
